I received my Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Binghamton University State University of New York in 2024, advised by Dr. Bing Si (now at Arizona State University). My Ph.D. dissertation is Statistical Machine Learning and Data Fusion Methodologies: Applications in Healthcare. Before joining Binghamton, I was a research assistant in the Department of Analytics, Information, and Operations Management, School of Business at the University of Kansas. In 2019, I obtained my Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from Wayne State University, advised by Dr. Qingyu Yang. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Geophysics from University of Science and Technology of China in 2017. During my PhD studies, I have had great pleasure in working with Prof. Melissa Sutherland, Dr. Carlos H. A. Costa on a diverse set of projects.

- Statistical machine learning and Deep learning methodology development and their applications in healthcare systems, bioinformatics & cancer biology

Sep 2024 : Yu joined Dr. Wenyi Wang’s lab at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center as a Postdoctoral Fellow.
May 2024 : Yu passed his Ph.D. dissertation defense. His dissertation title is “Statistical Machine Learning and Data Fusion Methodologies: Applications in Healthcare”. Here is the abstract.
